Why I Bought a Chromebook Instead of a Mac
And I would continue to buy Mac desktops and laptops for the next decade and a half. But something happened about a year ago when my Macbook Air was running on fumes.
- Massive Inventory?
- The greatest Apple partner in North America.
- 3,000+ 5-Star Customer Reviews.
- how to watch us netflix in canada on mac free.
- Crywolf — San Diego's Apple Specialist.
- flashing question mark on mac mini.
I looked at the Macs and gave my brain a half-second to entertain other options. I owned a functioning Mac desktop, which is my primary machine for heavy lifting.
The biggest consideration was price. And it was worth every penny.
If you travel enough, the thing literally pays for itself in airline wifi access. I rarely have to edit video and my photo manipulation needs are minimal. Nothing, is the answer. Precisely nothing. Computers have essentially become disposable, for better and for worse.
And with more and more of our computing needs being met by web browsers alone, the average consumer is seeing less incentive to buy a Mac. This trend should obviously terrify Apple. Computers have become fungible commodities, just like HDTVs before them. Any TV will do. Look at the screen and look at the price. Does it look like a TV?
Affordable Laptop, Notebook & Desktop Repair Services
Is it cheap? Double yep. Whip out the credit card. And there will no doubt be even better ones next year. I was wondering if you sell or know another trusted source who sells used Apple laptops. My son is 17 and heading into his senior year of high school and then college. I would like to purchase an Apple Macbook Pro for him that we can integrate with our wireless network at home.
Any suggestions you might have would be appreciated. Thanks, Marty.
I have a favor to ask — Would you post the exact same question on NextDoor, so that I can post this answer for the general public to enjoy? Your son is a student, so he qualifies for a Student Discount on a new Mac. You never know what kind of scam is going on.
